At St. Bede, we offer a 2-year program for high school teens who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. 

Monthly Group Sessions

• Meets once a month (September–May)
• Small groups of 10–12 teens
• Session includes catechesis, discussion and Sunday afternoon Mass
• Sessions led by adult catechists

Sponsors 

• Candidates choose a Sponsor by March Year 1 Confirmation
• Sponsors attend a Session and Mass with their Candidate each year
  • September: Year 2 Sponsor and Candidate Blessing at 4:30 PM Mass
  • March: Year 1 Sponsor and Candidate Session at 3 PM and Blessing at 4:30 PM Mass 

Retreats 

• Year 1 Day Retreat December 2, 2022
• Year 2 Extended Day Retreat April 1, 2023

SAINT NAME INSTRUCTIONS

• Candidates choose a Saint Name and prepare a short report or project to present in May of Year 1 Confirmation

Youth Ministry

• Confirmation Candidates are asked to attend 2 Youth Ministry activities each year (e.g., Youth Ministry Nights, City of Saints, Youth Day, field trips, etc.)
• Youth Ministry fees are included when you register for Confirmation.

Parent Meeting

• Year 1 Parent Meeting - September 2022 at 7:00 PM

Service

• Complete 2 Acts of Service per Year and fill out the online service form by April 15
• 1 for St. Bede Parish

• Confirmation Year 1 Fee: $225 with Retreat - $175 without Retreat
• Confirmation Year 2 Fee: $275 with Retreat - $224 without Retreat

Virtus - Empowering God's Children Safety Program

• St. Bede Youth Ministry offers an Empowering God's Children Safety Program. The program is an age-appropriate lesson about topics such as boundaries and internet safety. Two dates will be offered; parents may decide to have their teen participate.

Family Book of Prayers

• We offer a book of prayers for you to share at home with your family. Monsignor Antonio and all the Catechists at St. Bede treasure these prayers and hope you will treasure them as well.
