The
Liturgy:
What We Do, Why We Do It

Our Catholic
Faith has a great tradition that reaches back to its Jewish roots.
Most everything in our church, the vessels, books, gestures, words
and many of its ministries each has a story to tell, one that links
the church with our own personal stories. To better understand
the connection with our lives it is important to understand "What
we do and Why we do it". At the bottom of this
page is a series of articles on this topic.
In addition, each year
we have a Workshop on the Liturgy on various topics to enhance our
understanding of the mass on a more mature level or to review revisions
as expressed in official documents prior to their implementation
here at St. Bede's. All are invited to attend these workshops.
Those serving in a liturgical or catechetical ministry are afforded
the opportunity to attend the workshop as part of their annual enrichment
