Finance Council

The role of the Parish Finance Council is to assist the pastor in planning the parish budget and in overseeing the financial affairs of the parish, including the school. The Finance Council meets quarterly to review balance sheets, income/expense statements and cash flow reports. The Finance Council develops annual reports for both the Archdiocese and the parish, monitors salary administration for parish employees and ensures that proper accounting procedures are followed in all money matters. The Finance Council includes women and men of our Parish Community, who are skilled in business matters, and have some expertise in financial management, accounting, legal matters, fund raising or other related fields.   Church law (Canon 537) mandates a Parish Finance Council in each parish.
