Anointing of Sick

"Is there anyone sick among you? 
He should ask for the presbyters of the church. 
They in turn are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the
Name of the Lord. This prayer uttered in faith will reclaim the one who is ill, and the Lord will restore him to health. 
If he has committed any sins, forgiveness will be his." 
James 5: 14-15

 The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is available at any time. 
Please call the office at 818-949-4300 for a priest to come celebrate the sacrament.  After hours the office phone answering system
will direct you to the priests' emergency number.

Please remember the sacrament is best received
when the ill or homebound is fully able to participate in it. 
Therefore, we ask that one does not wait until the last minute to call for the anointing. This sacrament is for the living.

During the season of Lent, one of the 11:00 am Masses is designated to
bring the ill and housebound of the parish to Mass for a
communal celebration of the sacrament of the anointing of the sick.
